Peter Halbach joined the NDACo in June 2024 as Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor. He was a Hearing Officer for the North Dakota Department of Transportation for over 20 years, serving as the Chief Hearing Officer for 9 years. Peter has been the Municipal Judge for the City of Devils Lake since 2002. While in private practice, he also served as an assistant state’s attorney for Ramsey County. Prior to moving to North Dakota in 1988, he worked in the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office for nearly five years, first as a law clerk and then as a Special Assistant Attorney General.
