Local Update of Census Addresses (LUCA)

Description: This webinar covers why county governments should participate in this once-every-ten-year Census Bureau program, what the Bureau will share with the county and how the county, townships and cities can work together to ensure a more accurate count of residential housing. LUCA is the only opportunity offered to local governments to review and recommend updates to the Bureau's confidential residential address list prior to Census 2020. The program ensures the Bureau has a complete and accurate list to reach every living quarters and associated residents for inclusion in the decennial census count. Also discussed will be the financial impacts of uncounted residents through the next decade. Time is short as the deadline for signing up for LUCA is December 15th.
